Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma on Saturday attended South Africa's premier race the Vodacom Durban July.

In the main race it was Bold Silvano that went all the way with Irish Flame coming second. The other places were filled by Orbison in third and Service Ace in fourth.

For the winning Jockey Anthony Delpech, it was his third July victory; his previous triumphs were in 1998 and 2004.

Thousands of people enjoyed a day of fashion, racing and fun at Durban's Greyville Racecourse.

Themed "It's a Blooming Day" the Durban July was a bouquet of design creations and Greyville Racecourse was transformed into a floral fiesta.
