UK tourist murder accused in court

Pretoria - The three men accused of the murder of UK tourist Anni Dewani will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court today.

Mziwamadoda Qwabe, 25, Xolile Mngeni, 23, and Zola Tongo face charges of murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances and kidnapping.

Tonga was the driver of the vehicle Anni Dewani and her husband Shrien were travelling in when they were hijacked.

The couple were honeymooning in the Western Cape when they were allegedly hijacked while travelling to Gugulethu in a shuttle taxi.

Shrien Dewani was apparently forced out of the vehicle. Anni Dewani's body was discovered on the back seat of the vehicle in Lingelethu West the next day.
