Pretoria – President Zuma will undertake a Presidential Imbizo to Eersterust, east of Pretoria, next week.
He is expected to address issues related to substance abuse, said a statement issued following an ordinary Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
“Cabinet calls on communities to work with government and law-enforcement agencies to rid our society of substance abuse, which is the cause of numerous social problems, including violence against women and child abuse.
“Parents and guardians have a critical role to play in ensuring that children are protected and nurtured,” said Cabinet.
The National Drug Master Plan, 2013-2017, coordinates government’s efforts in the fight against alcohol and substance abuse. – SAnews.gov.za
