Bafana to look for a win against US

Wednesday, November 17, 2010

Pretoria - Despite the absence of forward Katlego Mphela and defender Bongani Khumalo, Bafana Bafana will be hoping to continue their winning streak when they face the United States (US) in the annual Nelson Mandela Challenge tonight.

The US is a perfect opposition to play Bafana, having won the tournament back in 2007. Bafana are unbeaten under Coach Pitso Mosimane with a 1-nil win over Ghana, followed by their African Cup of Nations qualifier victory against Niger and a nil-nil draw in Sierra Leone.

President Jacob Zuma is among the dignitaries expected to attend the match at Cape Town's Green Point Stadium. The match is expected to start late following requests from American broadcasters. Kick-off is at 21:30.
