Bafana eager to face Paraguay

Pretoria - Bafana Bafana midfielder, Surprise Moriri, says the national team is looking forward to facing Paraguay in a friendly match on March 31 in Asuncion, Paraguay.

When the two national teams clashed last year, the Mamelodi Sundowns star was one of the goal scorers who gave Bafana a stunning 3-0 victory. Other scorers were Benni McCarthy and Siphiwe Tshabalala of Kaizer Chiefs.

Moriri told the South African Football Association that the team was continuing well with its preparations.

"The whole team is eager to face Paraguay, and when we get there we want to fight as a team. We will be ready for them because we have prepared well and are still continuing with our preparations," he said.

Maritzburg United goalkeeper Shu-aib Walters has arrived in Porto Feliz, Sao Paolo in Brazil, to join the Bafana Bafana training camp.

Walters, who replaced injured Supersport goalie, Emille Baron, arrived in Porto Feliz on Wednesday and missed the day's only training session.
