Pretoria - The Presidency has announced changes to the composition of the Commission of Inquiry into the arms deal and the Board of Inquiry investigating allegations of misconduct against suspended National Police Commissioner General Bheki Cele.
Justice Jake Moloi will replace Justice Yvonne Mokgoro as the chairperson of the Board of Inquiry, with Advocate Terry Motau, SC and Advocate Anthea Platt as additional members of the board, the Presidency said.
With regards to the Strategic Defence Procurement Packages or arms deal commission, Justice Willem van der Merwe has asked to be released from the probe for "personal reasons".
"The President thanks both Judges for initially availing themselves for these tasks and looks forward to working with them on other assignments," the Presidency said.
