Tight security at Waterkloof ahead of dignitaries' arrivals

Pretoria – There is an increased security presence at the Waterkloof Air Force Base, in Centurion, ahead of the arrival of current and former Heads of State who will be attending President-elect Jacob Zuma’s Inauguration.

The inauguration is scheduled to take place on Saturday morning at the Union Buildings, amid much pomp and ceremony.

There are a number of officials at the main entrance of the air force base and the movement of persons has been restricted to accredited officials at the arrivals terminal.

Across the province, there has been an increased police visibility.

President-elect Zuma will take the oath at his inauguration ceremony, which will be watched by millions of South Africans across the country. – SAnews.gov.za
