Pretoria - Cabinet has urged South African businesses to take advantage of the new economic opportunities that exists following a solid trade relationship with China.
Minister in the Presidency for Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation, Jeff Radebe, said Cabinet welcomes the positive outcomes of the President’s State visit to China from 4 to 5 December, which is a true reflection of the deepening bilateral, trade and investment relations between South Africa and China.
“Last week’s adoption of the China-South Africa 5-10 Year Framework on Cooperation entrenches implementation of the agreements entered into since the conclusion of the Beijing Declaration in 2010 and expands on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership,” he said.
Minister Radebe was addressing reporters on the outcomes of the last 2014 Cabinet meeting held in Pretoria on Wednesday.
The Minister said President Jacob Zuma will host the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, in Cape Town on Friday.
The visit is aimed at strengthening the already existing cordial relations between South Africa and South Sudan, which are anchored on the agreement establishing bilateral relations, signed in September 2011. - SAnews.gov.za
