Pretoria - The Presidency has slammed media reports relating to the First Lady, Nompumelelo Zuma.

In a statement on Friday The Presidency said it viewed the reports "with great concern" and said they violate the privacy of both Zuma and his wife.

"The reports appear to be part of an ongoing and malicious campaign to undermine the right of the President and his family to privacy and dignity. President Zuma continues to be seized with matters of State and will not be diverted from his duties," the Presidency said.

The statement said Zuma will not dignify such gossip with a response.
