Pretoria - South African paralympian and murder accused Oscar Pistorius’s trial has resumed.

Pistorius is back in the North Gauteng High Court after he was sent to the Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital, in Pretoria, as an outpatient for 30 days, for assessment. This was after evidence by psychiatrist, Dr Merryl Vorster, that he had a generalised anxiety disorder. The findings of the panel of experts who assessed Pistorius over a period of several weeks, will determine the way forward in the trial.

The 'Blade Runner' is accused of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day last year at his home, in the east of Pretoria.

He claims he mistook her for an intruder. - SAnews.gov.za
