Pretoria - The North Gauteng High Court is expected to start hearing closing arguments in the Oscar Pistorius trial this morning.
The State will present its closing argument today, while the defence will present its closing argument tomorrow.
Pistorius has pleaded not guilty to four charges, including murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, whom he shot and killed at his Pretoria East home on Valentine's Day last year.
The State has been urging that Pistorius and Steenkamp fought during the night, before shooting her through the locked toilet door.
The defence team has, on the other hand, said that Pistorius mistook her for an intruder.
The trial has seen several neighbours of Pistorius testifying, while the “Blade Runner” – as Pistorius is also known -- was also sent for a 30-day psychiatric evaluation after a forensic psychiatrist suggested that he suffered from Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD).
The psychiatric reports stated that Pistorius could appreciate his actions on the morning of Valentine's Day, when he shot dead Steenkamp. – SAnews.gov.za
