Polokwane - A Limpopo MEC is taking a week out of his schedule to visit employees around the province to find out how service delivery can be improved.

Provincial Department of Public Works MEC, George Phadagi, the acting head of the department and senior managers will visit the department's employees in all districts in the province.

"The department's leadership wants to acquaint itself with the constraints facing employees who are at the forefront of service delivery," said Phadagi on Monday.

He said he and his team of senior managers will be ready to listen to the employees' problems.

"We will also do our best to support and give encouragement to those who go beyond the call of duty," said Phadagi.

The visits are just one of the department's strategies to address service delivery in the province.

Phadagi will meet public works employees at the Giyani community hall on Tuesday from 8am to 11am, at the Jane Furse comprehensive school on Thursday, from 10:30am to noon and at the OR Tambo hall in Modimolle on Friday, from 10:30am to noon.

His final meeting will be at the St Marco hall in Polokwane on 21 September, from 10:30am to noon.
