Kodwa appointed Zuma's communications adviser

Pretoria - Zizi Kodwa has been appointed Special Communications Adviser to President Jacob Zuma.

"The Presidency is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Zizi Kodwa as Special Adviser to the President on Communications," said the Presidency.

Kodwa is President Jacob Zuma's spokesperson in the ANC while also managing Zuma's office at Luthuli House.

Kodwa started out as a marketing manager for Denel's Swartklip Division, and later as spokesperson for the ANC Youth League (ANCYL). He was also a member of the National Executive Committee of the ANCYL.

Additionally he also serves on the Board of Trustees of the country's International Marketing Council.

He holds a BA Honours degree from the University of the Western Cape.
