Pretoria - Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga has received the final draft of the ‘Jobs for cash’ report from the Ministerial Task Team (MTT) and will share it with the relevant stakeholders and President Jacob Zuma before releasing it to the media and public.
The Department of Basic Education on Tuesday said the Minister received the final draft on Friday from the MTT chaired by Professor John Volmink.
“The Minister will meet with the relevant stakeholders cited in the report, including teacher trade unions and School Governing Body organisations, to share the findings of the report.
“It is necessary to make the report available to the relevant stakeholders cited to avoid them seeing the findings for the first time in the media. The Minister will also share the report with the President before releasing it to the public and members of the media.
“The Minister expects these processes will be finalised by mid-March. We will continue to keep the public and the media abreast of developments as they happen,” said the department. - SAnews.gov.za
