Investigation underway into death of Soweto girls

Pretoria – Police are investigating the death of two teenage girls, whose bodies were found in Dobsonville, Soweto, this morning. 

According to the police, it appears the girls were attacked while on their way to school. 

Police spokesperson Neville Malila said police were investigating. “We appeal to members of the public who might have seen or witnessed the death of the girls to assist the police with their investigations.” 

At the time of the discovery of the girls, they were dressed in their school uniforms. They had cuts on their hands and necks. 

Razors, candles and their school bags were found next them. 

Neither of the girls, aged 15 and 16, had been reported missing. No arrests have been made yet. – SAnews.gov.za
