Pretoria - Suzanne Daniels has been appointed as company secretary of Eskom, says the power utility.
In a statement on Tuesday, the power utility said Daniels - whose appointment was effective as of 1 October - had been working as a senior manager in the office of the Eskom chairman.
“Being an attorney/conveyancer by profession, Ms Daniels joined Eskom in 2006 armed with extensive operations and project management experience within the public and development sector.
“Eskom has full confidence in her strategic and tactical skills as well as her regulatory background as she begins her new role and we assure her of our full support,” said Eskom.
Daniels takes over from previous company secretary Malesela Phukubye.
Load shedding
Meanwhile, the risk of load shedding remains low on Wednesday.
“The probability of load shedding remains low today as we mark 60 days of only two hours and 20 minutes of load shedding. And, since it was stage 1 load shedding, this meant that 96% of South Africans still received uninterrupted electricity supply on that day.”
The power utility has appealed to all to work together towards achieving more load shedding free days. – SAnews.gov.za
