Zuma to join world leaders in education campaign

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma will join world leaders later today and lend his support for the 1Goal Global Campaign for Education initiative.

President Zuma will via satellite link up with leaders such as United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, United Kingdom Prime Minister Gordon Brown, United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and FIFA President Sepp Blatter.

He is expected to deliver his message of support along with South African soccer stars such as Alan Shearer, Marcel Desailly and Aaron Mokoena at the Coca-Cola Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg.

The education campaign is aimed at ensuring the 2010 FIFA World Cup will leave a lasting legacy of education.
