Zuma arrives in parly

Pretoria- With children carrying South African flags on the streets of Cape Town and creating a splash of colour, President Jacob Zuma slowly made his way towards the National Assembly.

Shouts of jubilation and excitement could be heard from hundreds of people lining the streets who were eagerly awaiting to hear Zuma's second State of the Nation Address.

Zuma, who was accompanied by first lady Sizakele Khumalo, was dressed in a suave dark suit. MaKhumalo was dressed in a peppermint ensemble paired with a gold hat to match her gold accessories. They were accompanied by the Speaker of Parliament Max Sisulu.

Other guests who had already taken their seats in the National Assembly included former president, Nelson Mandela who was flanked by his wife Graca Machel and his former wife Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
