Zuma arrives at the Final Draw

Cape Town - President Jacob Zuma has arrived at the 2010 Final Draw event in Cape Town, accompanied by Limpopo Premier Cassel Mathale and Tshwane Mayor Gwen Ramokgopa.

Dressed in a smart black suit with a blue tie, the President arrived just a short while ago to the red carpet at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) which is decorated with the art emulating Table Mountain.

Other dignitaries which have arrived include Minister in the Presidency Collins Chabane, Minister of State Security Siyabonga Cwele and Minister of Science Technology Naledi Pandor.

Cape Town Mayor Dan Plato, as also arrived in style with a local traditional performance group, accompanied Premier of the Western Cape, Helen Zille.

The Premiers from all nine provinces and the Ambassadors from qualifying countries have also begun trickling into the CTICC, where the stage has been set ahead of tonight's Final Draw.

Thousands of people have gathered outside the CTICC to catch a glimpse of some of the international celebrities which are expected to arrive soon, such as Charlize Theron and David Beckham.

Bafana Bafana Coach Clive Barker, former midfielder Doctor Khumalo and striker Philemon Masinga have made their way up the red carpet.

LOC and FIFA big-wigs are also expected to arrive soon.

The event is expected to start at 19h00 tonight and will be broadcasted lives to more than 2 billion people across the world
