Zuma announces new members to the BBBEE Advisory Council

Pretoria – Yershen Pillay and Nomaxabiso Majokweni have been appointed as Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Advisory Council members, says the Presidency.

The Advisory Council provides guidance and overall monitoring on the state of B-BBEE performance in the economy with a view to make policy recommendations to address challenges in the implementation of this transformation policy.

The council is responsible for providing leadership and direction in the implementation of B-BBEE in the country

Nomaxabiso Majokweni, the Chief Executive Officer of Business Unity South Africa and Yershen Pillay, the Executive Chairperson of the National Youth Development Agency were appointed by President Jacob Zuma in terms of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Council Act.
