Top award for Centre for Public Service Innovation

Pretoria - The Centre for Public Service Innovation (CPSI), focused on promoting service delivery in the public sector, has been honoured with a prestigious award courtesy of the United Nations.

CPSI Chief Executive Officer, Thuli Radebe received the award for Excellence for Knowledge Management in the Africa Region from UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, in New York on Tuesday.

The award is a recognition of the CPSI's contribution to the United Nations Public Administration Network (UNPAN).

The CPSI is an initiative of the Ministry for Public Service and Administration established to identify, support and nurture innovation in the public sector with a view to improving service delivery.

It operates as a government component and reports directly to the Minister for Public Service and Administration.

The CPSI is one of the eight UNPAN partners in Africa, responsible for the South African Development Community region.
