Telemedicine lab unveiled in KZN

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma on Sunday witnessed the unveiling of a Mobile Telemedicine Laboratory in Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal.

Donated by a company in the Russian Federation, the facility is a truck filled with technology to perform diagnostic tests, allowing the community early detection of illnesses and diseases including TB, HIV and AIDS.

The mobile laboratory will also be able to perform pathology tests and others related to dermatology and allergies.

The President was accompanied by Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Dr Zweli Mkhize and a number of provincial MECs.
