Wednesday, August 8, 2018

Three companies have won prizes ranging from R30 000 to R100 000 as part of the small business support programme for the Free State Department for Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs.

“These prizes cover productive equipment, marketing support, training and other non-financial support,” the provincial department said.

The provincial department launched the small business programme in June 2018.

“This programme is intended to intensify funding support initiatives to Small, Medium and Micro-sized Enterprises (SMMEs) in order to assist them with sustainability and growth of their enterprises,” the provincial department said.

On 28 June 2018, at a total of R1 million worth of support was made to three winning businesses.

To participate in this programme, businesses should be registered; the business must have a business plan and all the necessary documents must be attached.

The business should state the estimated jobs created and the employment of women and youth should be prioritized. – SAnews.gov.za
