SA attends meeting of AU justice ministers

Pretoria - Justice Deputy Minister Andries Nel will represent South Africa at a meeting of Ministers of Justice and Attorneys-General convened by the Commission of the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The meeting takes place today and tomorrow.

Issues expected to be discussed include the consideration of the Draft Statute of the African Court of Justice and Human and People's Rights; consideration of the Draft Protocol to the Constitutive Act of the African Union Relating to the Pan African Parliament and consideration of the Draft model national legislation on Universal Jurisdiction, among others.
