Road closures ahead of jazz festivals

The City of Cape Town has advised motorists to take note of the temporary road closures ahead of two upcoming jazz festivals.

The road closures will be in place in the city centre and surrounding areas to accommodate the upcoming free concert at Greenmarket Square on Tuesday starting at 4:30pm.

“The much anticipated free concert is a community event that draws thousands of residents and visitors from all walks of life who are united in their love for jazz,” the city said in a statement on Sunday.

Also, some roads in the vicinity of the Cape Town International Convention Centre will be closed from Monday to allow for the setup of infrastructure for the jazz festival.
