Rainy conditions to persist

Pretoria - The South African Weather Services (SAWS) says rainy conditions in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and North West will persist throughout the week.

According to SAWS forecaster, Karl Lootes, there will be 60 percent chance of rain in all three provinces throughout the week. 

Lootes added that in some provinces, rain will at times be accompanied by heavy lightning. For today, Gauteng will be cloudy, at times and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.

Mpumalanga will be cloudy at times with morning fog, scattered showers and thundershowers are expected, but isolated in the lowveld.

Limpopo will be cloudy with morning fog and isolated showers and thundershowers are also expected.

In the North West, it's cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.

Northern Cape will be partly cloudy with isolated thunder showers.
