Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma will reply to questions from the National Assembly in Parliament this afternoon.
The President will give oral replies at 2pm.
The President usually answers questions for oral reply in the assembly at least once a quarter during session time within the annual Parliamentary programme.
Meanwhile, Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will host a meeting today of visiting South Sudanese First Vice President Taban Deng Gai, at Tuynhuys, in Cape Town.
Deputy President Ramaphosa is the special envoy of President Jacob Zuma to South Sudan.
At this morning’s meeting, first Vice President Deng is expected to brief the Deputy President on the current political situation in South Sudan, progress in the implementation of the Arusha Peace Agreement and developments regarding the reunification of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM).
Deputy President Ramaphosa has been working alongside Secretary-General of Tanzania’s ruling party, Abdurahman Kinana, in efforts aimed at the reunification of the SPLM, which is critical for the consolidation of peace and stability.
It is also critical for bringing the war in South Sudan to an end, thereby laying the basis for the post-conflict reconstruction and development of that country. – SAnews.gov.za
