Premier to open Zola-Jabulani District Hospital

Pretoria - Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane will on Wednesday open the R730-million Zola-Jabulani District Hospital in Soweto.

The premier will be accompanied by the MECs for Infrastructure Development Qedani Mahlangu and Health Hope Papo.

The 300-bed Zola-Jabulani District Hospital will alleviate pressure on Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and improve access to health services in the region.

The new hospital will provide care in maternity, post-natal, gynecology, obstetrics, radiology and outpatient departments. Pharmaceutical services, accident and emergency services will also be available at the facility.

The hospital will service the northern and western communities of Soweto, including Dobsonville, Emdeni, Meadowlands, Moletsane, Mofolo, Zola, Naledi, Tladi, Jabulani, Bram Fischerville and Protea.

Premier Mokonyane will conduct an inspection of the facility at 9am and thereafter address a community gathering. – SAnews.gov.za
