Pretoria - South African motorists will be able to breathe a sigh of relief next week - as all grades of petrol will drop by between 15 to 18 cents a litre.
According to the Department of Energy, the cost of a litre of 93 ULP and LRP will fall by 15 cents while that of 95 ULP and LRP will decrease by 18 cents a litre.
In Gauteng, a litre of petrol will cost R8.27and in the coast R8.21 as of Wednesday.
The wholesale price of Diesel 0.05 percent Sulphur will fall by 15 cents while that of Diesel 0.005 percent Sulphur will decrease by 16 cents.
The price of illuminating Paraffin (wholesale) will fall by 12 cents and that of Illuminating Paraffin will decrease by 16 cents.
"During the period under review the average international product prices of Petrol, Diesel and Illuminating Paraffin decreased," said the ministry.
In May, the petrol price dropped by 27 cents a litre.
