No request for provincial funeral for Linee

Pretoria - The Presidency says President Jacob Zuma has not received a request letter from the Western Cape government, for former rugby player Tinus Linee to be granted a provincial official funeral.

This after the Presidency received a number of media enquiries following a statement reportedly made by the Western Cape government, saying it had written to the President making the request.

“The President once again extends his condolences to the family of Mr Linee,” the Presidency said. - SAnews.gov.za
