No load shedding currently taking place

Pretoria - There is currently no load shedding as there is enough generating capacity to meet demand, Eskom said on Monday.

“We urge all customers to continue using electricity sparingly at all times to enable the technicians to carry out the requisite maintenance of our power generating units,” the power utility said.

Commercial customers, particularly shopping centres and office blocks, can also make a big difference by switching off non-essential lights and not leaving office equipment such as photocopiers and computers in standby mode after hours. - SAnews.gov.za
