Pretoria - Environmental Affairs Minister, Edna Molewa, has been sworn in as Acting President of the Republic.
This comes as President Jacob Zuma leads a South African delegation to the inaugural United States-Africa Leaders' Summit in Washington DC in the United States.
The summit is scheduled to start on Monday and end on Wednesday.
Deputy President, Cyril Ramaphosa, is also in Nouakchott, in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for the inauguration of President-elect Mahomed Ould Abdel Aziz. – SAnews.gov.za
