Pretoria - All the logistical arrangements are in place in the City of Roses, to ensure that fans who have thronged there to watch the all-important clash between Bafana Bafana and France this afternoon, enjoy a great world cup experience.

The Mangaung municipality's 2010 Media Liaison Director Lele Mamatu said park-and-ride facilities were ready to ferry people to the Mangaung stadium as well as the Fan Fest ahead of the 4pm clash.

People can access the municipality's two park-and-ride facilities at the Bloemfontein Showgrounds and at the Baptist church in Zastron Street. The municipality's park-and-walk facilities can be accessed at the Eunice school, Grey College, located in Jock Meiring Street as well as the Fontein Street Parkade. Provision will also be made for the disabled.

The facilities started operating from 10:00.

"We have never had challenges in terms of the park-and-ride facilities. Our facilities have been operating smoothly in accordance with our operational plans," said Mamatu.

Two public viewing areas in Thaba Nchu and Botshabelo have been set up for those who cannot make it to the stadium.

"People have already started arriving at the areas but we expect the number to continue growing as the day progresses," he said.

He described the mood in the streets ahead of the match as electrifying.

"The mood is electrifying; people are gearing up for the big match. I don't think there's anyone who wants to miss the match. People are showing their support in their Bafana jerseys while others are blowing their vuvuzelas. We would like to appeal to people who are not going to the stadium to visit the Fan Fest where there will be plenty of entertainment before and even after the game," he explained.

Among some of the roads that have been closed for the match is Kingsway as well as Parfit road.
