Pretoria – The City of Tshwane has announced that it will give the late Martha Mahlangu a Provincial Official Funeral.
Mahlangu, who was the mother of freedom fighter Solomon Mahlangu, passed away last week at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria.
Solomon Mahlangu was a popular freedom fighter and one of the youngest uMkhonto Wesizwe soldiers who, at the age of 23, was executed under the apartheid laws after being wrongfully accused of murder and terrorism.
The memorial service for the late Mahlangu will be held on Wednesday in Moreleta Park and she will be laid to rest on Saturday. – SAnews.gov.za
