Limpopo premier's special adviser dies

Pretoria - The Limpopo premier's special adviser and former MEC for Public Works, Safety and Security, George Phadagi, has passed away.

Phadagi died at the Pretoria Medi-Clinic on Sunday morning. Provincial government spokesperson Tebatso Mabitsela said Premier Cassel Mathale has described the untimely death of Phadagi as a great loss.

In sending his sympathy to the bereaved family, Mathale said: "We want to convey our heartfelt condolences to the Phadagi family. They should know that his untimely death is a great loss to all of us as the people of this province.

"We want to assure them that the people of Limpopo share their grief ..."

Mathale said Phadagi served diligently as in his post as MEC and the provincial government was equally committed to carry on the legacy of good work and achievement left by Phadagi.
