Pretoria - Ekurhuleni Mayor Mondli Gungubele will be joined by Trade and Industry Deputy Minister Mzwandile Masina in honouring struggle veteran Adelaide Tambo at a wreath laying ceremony on Monday.
“The wreath laying ceremony is part of Ekurhuleni’s Mandela Day commemorations,” said the City of Ekurhuleni on a statement.
Adelaide Tambo was born on 18 July 1929.
The Mayor will spend a large part of the day handing over houses to the vulnerable and senior citizens. He will hand over six fully furnished houses to elderly residents of Alra Park Extension 3.
A family that has been staying in a flood prone area for over 30 years will also receive a newly built house. – SAnews.gov.za
