Duduza post office torched in protests

Wednesday, February 22, 2017

Pretoria - The SA Post Office (Sapo) has requested customers, who normally use its Duduza branch, to use the Bluegum View branch after the Duduza branch was damaged by fire as a result of community protests.

“The Bluegum View branch is three kilometres from the Duduza branch and is in Mandela Square, Duduza. Motor vehicle licensing can be done at the Bluegum View branch,” the post office said on Wednesday.

The Duduza branch will be reopened for business once the damage has been repaired.

The post office said it is not able to put an accurate date for reopening the branch at this stage, as assessments are still underway.

Customers who would like to enquire about postal items can contact the Post Office’s contact centre on 0860 111 502 or send a mail to branch.network@postoffice.co.za. – SAnews.gov.za
