Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma and his wife Thobeka Zuma have arrived at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, ahead of the massive Memorial Service for former President Nelson Mandela.
Despite the chilly, wet weather, thousands of mourners are making their way inside the stadium, where formal proceedings will begin at 11am.
Zuma and his wife, dressed in formal black attire, will be welcoming 91 Heads of State and Government who have travelled from all corners of the world to witness this historic occasion.
Former Presidents FW de Klerk and Thabo Mbeki, Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe, former US President Bill Clinton and his daughter Chelsea, Desmond Tutu, Kofi Annan, British Prime Minister David Cameron, George Bizos and Ahmed Kathrada among others have also arrived.
A choir has taken to the stage and has begun entertaining the crowds. – SAnews.gov.za
