Pretoria - Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga on Tuesday sent her heartfelt condolences to the families of the five learners, who tragically lost their lives in a horrific motor vehicle accident in KwaZulu-Natal.
“This is a traumatic experience for any family to have to deal with and an unnecessary loss of young potential.
“Our hearts and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones, and we wish those in hospital a speedy recovery,” Minister Motshekga said.
The Provincial Education Department, led by MEC Peggy Nkonyeni, visited the learners recovering in hospital and will continue to offer support to the families who lost their children on Monday.
The relevant transport authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. – SAnews.gov.za
