Condolences sent to AmaMpondomise nation

Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) Minister Zweli Mkhize has expressed condolences to the nation of AmaMpondomise following the death of Queen Nolitha Matiwane.

In a message to Queen Noloyiso Sandile of AmaRharhabe at Mngqesha Great Place, Mkhize said the loss caused immeasurable pain to any Royal Family and the public at large.

Matiwane passed away on November 12 at the Stutterheim Hospital where she was admitted.

“Mam’ uNolitha Matiwane, who was a unifying figure and a person who loved her community, contributed immensely to the country and to government, as part of building a better life for the society. I extend my deepest condolences to the Royal Family on this tragic and painful loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time,” said Minister Mkhize.

According to media reports, the AmaMpondomise Queen Mother will be laid to rest at Kroza Great Place near Qumbu on Saturday. The 65-year-old was also an AmaRharhabe senior princess and the eldest child of King Mxolisi Sandile. – SAnews.gov.za
