Pretoria - Acting President Cyril Ramaphosa has conveyed his condolences to the Minister of Home Affairs Malusi Gigaba following the death of his father Reverend Jabulani Thomas Gigaba.
''On behalf of President Jacob Zuma, the government and people of our country, we reach out in thought and prayer to Minister Gigaba and the broader Gigaba family, friends and colleagues during this hour of bereavement,” Acting President Ramaphosa said.
He thanked Reverend Gigaba for the contribution he made as a father, community and religious leader, as well as giving the country the gift of a son who has committed his entire life to the service of the country.
“We know and know too well the burden of pain, sorrow and grief that the passing away of a beloved father can bring to bear upon members of the bereaved family.
''It is our hope that the thoughts and prayers of our nation will help lessen the pain and sorrow that has engulfed their family during this hour of bereavement,'' said Acting President Ramaphosa. – SAnews.gov.za
