Cogta portfolio committee discusses annual report

Thursday, October 11, 2018

Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Zweli Mkhize will on Thursday lead the department and its entity when they appear before the Cogta Portfolio Committee to discuss 2017/2018 annual reports.

Mkhize will be accompanied by Deputy Minister Obed Bapela.

“The reports that will be under the microscope are that of the Department of Traditional Affairs and the Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent,” the department said in a statement.

Cogta is expected to submit its annual report to Parliament by the end of November “due to the unavoidable actions”. These emanate from actions that still had to be performed relating to the Community Work Programme (CWP) assets, before the final adjustment and submission of the 2017/18 Annual Financial Statements.

Cogta emphasised that the 2017/18 audit process was completed at the end of September. – SAnews.gov.za
