Cable theft hits Gautrain again

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

Pretoria - Gautrain services between Pretoria, Hatfield and Centurion have once again been temporarily cancelled due to cable theft and other technical issues.

Last Wednesday, Gautrain services in the Tshwane region were temporarily suspended as a result of cable theft at a sub-station in the area.

Today, trains will be running between Sandton and Centurion only, but a bus shuttle service will run between Rosebank, Sandton, Hatfield and Centurion every 20 minutes.
Water leakages have caused the closure of the Sandton and Rosebank line.

Gautrain has apologised for the inconvenience caused to commuters.
