Blue Bulls honoured with a parade

Pretoria - Currie Cup Champions, the Blue Bulls, will this morning paint the streets of Pretoria blue when they go on their victory parade.

This follows their 36-24 win at a packed Loftus Versfeld Stadium, against the Cheetahs in the Currie Cup final on Saturday.

This is the 23rd Currie Cup title the team has managed to clinch.

According to the City of Tshwane's Console Tleane, the team will depart from Loftus Versfeld Stadium at 8.30am, for the parade that will last an hour.

As a result, a number of streets will be affected. The route is as follows:

* Afrikaanse Ho%r Seunskool and Meisies Ho%r (Jorissen Street)
* Hamilton Primary (Visagie Street c/o Prinsloo Street)
* Laerskool Eendracht (Bosman Street c/o Proes Street)
* Ho%rskool Langenhoven (Paul Kruger Street)
* Laerskool Generaal Jacques Pienaar (Trouw Street)
* Laerskool Riviera (Union Street c/o Malan Street)
* Arcadia Primary (Schoeman Street)
* Vodacom on Lunnon (Duxbury Road)
* Girls High (Burnett Street)
* Loftus Versfeld (Kirkness Street)

Tleane said these streets will not be closed but only blocked as the convoy passes through intersections.
