Pretoria-The international friendly match between South Africa and Tanzania will be played on Saturday, May 14, in Dar es Salam.
On Thursday, both the South African Football Association (Safa) and the Tanzanian Football Federation (TFF) initially agreed to reschedule the match and moved it to May 28. On Friday, the two football associations, agreed to reinstate the friendly encounter to its original scheduled date.
TFF Secretary-General Angetile Osiah said due to unforeseen logistical challenges regarding the postponement of the match, reinstating the original date was the best option for both parties.
Safa's director of media and communications, Morio Sanyane, said Safa will convene a media briefing on Monday to unveil plans for the clash against Tanzania.
Bafana head coach, Pitso "Jingles" Mosimane said his preparations for the match were already on track. As a result of the moving back of the match date, Mosimane will now announce his team for the clash against the little known Tanzania on Monday.
The match will assist both countries in preparing for their respective upcoming 2011 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which will take place on 3 and 5 June respectively.
