Pretoria - The Presidency says the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation will liaise with the North West Government and affected departments with regard to concerns raised about service delivery matters in the province.

The Presidency on Thursday said the department has been assigned by President Jacob Zuma to look into the service delivery matters that include water and sanitation, roads infrastructure, public works programmes and general management of the municipality.

This after the United Democratic Movement leader and Member of Parliament, General Bantu Holomisa, wrote to the President raising the challenges that are facing Moretele Local Municipality, in the North West.

“General Holomisa has written to the President raising concerns… The department will liaise with the province and other affected departments,” said the Presidency. - SAnews.gov.za
