New RAF office to open in Mahikeng

Wednesday, September 10, 2014

Pretoria – The Road Accident Fund (RAF) will open its Provincial Customer Service Centre in Mahikeng on Thursday, to bring its services closer to the people.

The official opening will take place on Thursday at 10am.

The new RAF office is located at Mega City Shopping Centre in Mahikeng and it will be the RAF’s second Customer Service Centre in the province.

The new office will enable the RAF to service road accident victims directly, and speed up the claims processes by improving the turnaround time.

The first office is a hospital based Customer Service Centre and is located at Mahikeng Provincial Hospital.

In welcoming the initiative, North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo committed the provincial administration to working together with the RAF to promote road safety.

This is in line with the goals of the United Nations’ Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011 – 2020.

The RAF is an entity of the national Department of Transport that compensates all road users and citizens against injuries sustained or death arising from accidents involving motor vehicles within the borders of South Africa. – SAnews.gov.za
