Zuma to visit Angola

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma will travel to Angola on Friday where he will have consultations with his counterparts President José Eduardo Dos Santos and the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Joseph Kabila Kabanga.

“The three Heads of State are expected to discuss a range of issues relating to peace and stability in the region, particularly the current peace efforts in the DRC,” said the Presidency on Wednesday.

The meeting, according to the Presidency, is a follow-up to a meeting held by the three Presidents in March, which was aimed at strengthening bilateral political and economic relations between the countries.

President Zuma will be accompanied by the Ministers of International Relations and Cooperation Maite Nkoana Mashabane; Defence and Military Veterans Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula; State Security Siyabonga Cwele; Police Nathi Mthethwa; Energy Ben Martins, and Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Lechesa Tsenoli. – SAnews.gov.za
