Zuma sends special envoys to Angola

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has sent two special envoys to Angola, bearing gifts for community organisations in that country.

Minister in the Presidency Collins Chabane and KwaZulu-Natal Premier Zweli Mkhize are to hand over Toyota Corollas to the organisations on Friday.

The cars were given to President Zuma by Toyota to donate, as appreciation of their work in developing communities.

"They are also being donated as a token of appreciation to the people of Angola for the strong and warm relations that have historically existed between the two countries," said the Presidency in a statement.

According to the Presidency, Zuma was meant to hand over the cars during his State Visit to Angola last year but could not do so, due to logistical reasons.

The handing over ceremony will take place at the Social Centre Llumba outside Luanda, tomorrow, and will be received by the Angolan Minister of Social Welfare, Joao Baptista Kussunua.
