Good luck Banyana

Pretoria - The new Minister for Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities, Lulu Xingwana, has wished the South African national women's soccer team, Banyana Banyana, well, as they face Nigeria in the 2010 Confederation of African Football (CAF) African Women Championship today.

Banyana will face the side ranked number one on the continent at 11am, at Sinaba stadium in Daveyton.
They beat Tanzania 2-1 on Sunday during the opening game of the tournament.

"Nigeria is most probably the toughest challenge yet for our team in the African Women Championship. However, we are confident that our girls will take them on and make all of us proud as the host nation," said Xingwana.

She called on all South Africans to support Banyana Banyana throughout this tournament.

"Nigeria might have won this tournament many times but this is our turn. Let us use our home advantage and go all out to support our girls as we did with Bafana Bafana during the World Cup," she said.
